Pay It Forward

Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation

In February 2006, we received a letter from the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation.  The letter stated that the foundation had received a generous donation in the name of Kathryn Bender.  Since Kathryn was a dancer and this foundation has a very large dance program which encourages young performers to reach their full potential, this was a very appropriate charity to support in her name.

"The Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation (YAF) is a charity that provides high quality, non-competitive and free of charge arts experiences for young people aged 5 to 25.  Since 1993, YAF has been organizing inclusive and inspirational projects that reach out to young people of all cultures, backgrounds, languages and abilities.  YAF actively creates opporunities for disadvantaged and underprivileged young people.  Each year we reach over 800,000 young underprivileged young people with our projects, in terms of art skills learning and personal growth."

Once again, Kathryn has affected many lives.  This time they are found in another part of the world!  Thank you so much to Bob and Helen Giss for this donation.
